Working professionals can manage a dog's "spring cleaning" in just two hours on the weekend.

Dog owners know that cleaning the dog on weekends is like a KPI. We working professionals don't have that much time for meticulous cleaning, so just remember a few key tasks and you're done.

Step 1: Walk the dog first, then clean it. Otherwise, it's all for nothing. Let the dog run around and poop before coming home. A tired dog is a good dog that lets you do whatever you want.

Step 2: Trimming nails is the first battle. If you can't win, outsource it. This is the easiest part. Just remember: quick, accurate, and treats. A cowardly trick: put it high up (like on the washing machine). It'll be confused, making it easier to trim. The bottom line: If it resists so fiercely you want to get angry, stop immediately!

Step 3: Brushing is paramount. A must-do for anyone who sheds a lot. You can't outsource this. This is the solution to the dog hair everywhere in the house.

Tools: A bit crude: a silicone glove for short-haired dogs, a pin brush for long-haired dogs. Feel free to do it however you like: sit on the sofa watching TV, place it by your feet, and brush it while you watch your show. Brushing off two big clumps of fur gives you a huge sense of accomplishment, and you'll also save yourself a couple of vacuuming sessions.

Step 4: Bath and Dry – Don't Be Lazy! Bath: The water temperature shouldn't be too hot, and rinse off the shampoo completely. Pay special attention to scrubbing the soles of the paws, belly, and rear end. Drying (Important!): It must be completely dry! Even a little dampness is unacceptable. Otherwise, on Monday when you go to work, your dog might have a skin condition, which will be even more troublesome for you. Use a comb to run your fingers through the paws while drying; it will dry faster.

Ultimate Lazy Philosophy:

1. If you can't beat them, join in: Trimming nails, cleaning ears, expressing anal glands – whichever gives you the most headache, pay someone to do it. Your task is maintenance, not challenging yourself with difficult tasks.

2. Attack one difficult point at a time: If your dog obediently finishes its bath this weekend, that's a victory. Nails not trimmed? We'll deal with that next week.

3. Don't skimp on rewards: After all that fuss, give it a big treat or its favorite toy. Let your dog think, "Although it was a bit of a hassle, the ending was good," so it won't avoid you next time.

A Visitor Routine That Gives Your Dog Room to Retreat

A visitor routine begins long before the visitor reaches your doorstep. If your dog usually rushes to the door, pacing while you find your keys and shouting a series of instructions will add movement and noise to an already busy moment.

Keep a Neighborhood Notebook for Quieter Dog Walks

A neighborhood can look calm from the front door and feel very different once a dog reaches the pavement. A delivery van is idling near the corner, a school group arrives at the crossing, and a dog behind a fence begins barking.
